The FIFA World Cup 2026™ has officially begun, and this year is bigger than ever before! For the very first time, the tournament is being hosted across three nations: the United States, Canada and Mexico. As millions of fans gather to celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event, cities across North America are coming alive with excitement and celebrating with special events.
Naturally, some of the world’s most iconic towers are joining in too! Across the World Federation of Great Towers, members are celebrating the tournament in spectacular ways and today we are taking a look at how some of our towers in the United States are welcoming the world above the skyline.
🇺🇸 Top of the Rock ⏐ New York City
Located 70 floors above Manhattan at Rockefeller Center, the Top of the Rock Observation Deck has officially become an Official Viewpoint of NYNJ World Cup 26™.
From June 11 through July 19, visitors can enjoy a unique match-day atmosphere high above New York City, complete with live match viewing, exclusive FIFA merchandise discounts, special photo opportunities and fan giveaways! Guests can also explore official FIFA merchandise pop-ups and access the FIFA Museum exhibition “Legacies of Champions” during their visit.

🇺🇸 Empire State Building ⏐ New York City
The Empire State Building Observation Deck is celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026™ with a city-wide soccer experience worthy of one of the world’s most famous landmarks!
Visitors can explore a massive exhibition featuring more than 100 iconic soccer jerseys from legendary players including Messi, Ronaldo and Beckham, displayed across four floors of the observatory experience. The celebration also includes exclusive merchandise, commemorative giveaways, interactive photo moments and the return of the Empire State Building’s world-famous tower lightings to celebrate major tournament moments.

🇺🇸 Space Needle ⏐ Seattle
In Seattle, the Space Needle has undergone one of its boldest transformations yet: officially becoming a giant soccer ball ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™.
The iconic landmark unveiled a custom roof design created in partnership with SeattleFWC26, transforming the top of the tower into a striking symbol of the world’s game. The installation was completed more than 600 feet above the city and will remain throughout the tournament as Seattle prepares to welcome fans from around the globe.

The Space Needle also raised the Seattle Host City flag to officially mark the arrival of FIFA World Cup 2026™ in the Pacific Northwest, where six tournament matches will take place this summer.
