Feiern Sie den 46. Geburtstag des Tallinner Fernsehturms an einem unvergesslichen Geburtstags-Wochenende
11. Juli 2026

Der Tallinner Fernsehturm is turning 46, and visitors have the perfect opportunity to celebrate one of Northern Europe’s most iconic landmarks during a special anniversary weekend from 10–12 July 2026. Combining breathtaking views, thrilling experiences, family-friendly activities, and one of the world’s most spectacular urban BASE jumping events, the celebration offers something for everyone!
Standing 314 meters tall, the Fernsehturm Tallinn is not only the tallest building in Estonia but also the tallest freestanding tower in Northern Europe. Since opening in July 1980 and reopening after a major renovation in 2012, it has become far more than a broadcasting tower. Today, it is one of Estonia’s leading cultural and tourism attractions.

A Special Birthday Offer
To mark its 46th anniversary, the Tallinn TV Tower is offering a special admission price throughout the celebration weekend.
From 10–12 July 2026, regular admission tickets are available for €14 instead of the usual €19 when purchased at the TV Tower ticket office.

The outdoor area remains free for everyone throughout the weekend, making it easy for visitors to enjoy the festive atmosphere even without entering the tower. Please note that the birthday offer applies only to regular admission tickets and does not include discounted or family tickets.
Experience Tallinn from 170 Meters Above the City
Every visit to the Tallinn TV Tower begins with an immersive introduction to the tower’s remarkable history. Guests first enjoy a dynamic 3D film before exploring the story of the tower itself and its important role during Estonia’s restoration of independence.

A high-speed KONE lift then takes visitors to the observation levels at 170 and 175 meters, where spectacular 360-degree views stretch across Tallinn, the Baltic Sea, forests, and coastline. On exceptionally clear days, visitors may even spot Helsinki across the Gulf of Finland, approximately 80 kilometers away.
Interactive multimedia displays help identify landmarks throughout the city while also showing how the surrounding landscape has evolved over time. Visitors can also discover exhibitions highlighting Estonia’s greatest achievements and even record their own television greeting inside the tower’s TV studio.
Dare to Step onto the Glass Floor
One of the most memorable experiences inside the Tallinn TV Tower is standing on its famous glass floor windows.
Located on the panoramic observation level, these reinforced glass panels allow visitors to look straight down 170 meters to the ground below.
It is an unforgettable photo opportunity and a thrilling challenge for anyone wanting to test their nerves while enjoying one of Europe’s highest observation platforms.
Northern Europe’s Highest Open-Air Observation Deck
The adventure continues on the tower’s 175-meter outdoor observation deck, the highest open-air viewing platform in Northern Europe.
Fresh air, uninterrupted panoramic views, and the feeling of standing above the city make this one of the highlights of any visit. Whether admiring Tallinn’s medieval skyline, the surrounding forests, or the Baltic coastline, the open terrace offers a completely different perspective from the indoor viewing level.
Take the Ultimate Challenge with the Edge Walk
For visitors looking for even more excitement, the Edge Walk delivers one of the most unique experiences available anywhere in Northern Europe.

Safely secured by professional instructors, participants step outside onto the edge of the tower’s 175-meter observation deck and complete a full walk around the structure high above the city. The experience lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes professional photographs that are later sent to participants.
Available from April through October, weather permitting, the Edge Walk has become one of the Tallinn TV Tower’s signature attractions and a favorite for adrenaline seekers.
Visitors who prefer to keep both feet inside the tower can still enjoy an equally exciting adventure through the tower’s specially developed virtual reality experience. Created by Estonian VR specialists, it allows guests to virtually walk the tower’s edge before soaring around the structure in flight, offering an immersive alternative that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

BASE Boogie Returns for the Birthday Weekend
One of the defining highlights of the anniversary celebrations is the return of BASE Boogie, transforming the TV Tower into one of Europe’s most exciting venues for extreme sports.

Throughout the birthday weekend, approximately 70 BASE jumpers from around the world are expected to participate in the World BASE Jumping Cup stage, launching themselves from the top of the tower between 10:00 and 19:00, weather permitting.
The name BASE refers to the four types of fixed objects from which athletes jump with parachutes: Buildings, Antennas, Spans (bridges), and Earth. Watching experienced athletes leap from the top of Estonia’s tallest building is a truly unforgettable spectacle and one that has become synonymous with the Tallinn TV Tower’s birthday celebrations.
Best of all, spectators can enjoy the event free of charge from the outdoor festival area.
A Weekend for the Whole Family
While the BASE jumpers provide plenty of excitement overhead, the celebrations continue at ground level with activities suitable for visitors of all ages. Families can enjoy children’s attractions, creative workshops, crafts, entertainment with the TV Tower mascot ETI, and a lively festival atmosphere throughout the weekend.

Visitors are encouraged to travel sustainably by walking, cycling, using scooters, or taking public transport, reflecting the TV Tower’s commitment as a Green Key destination. For those arriving by car, parking is available for €5 per day via EuroPark mobile parking.
