From September 1–5, 2025, the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT) held its 36th Annual Conference at the iconic Mirador Torre Glòries in Barcelona, bringing together 80 representatives from 28 of the world’s most renowned towers. The week offered a truly global exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices, highlighting innovation and collaboration in the vertical tourism industry.
Throughout the conference, participants explored the panoramic views from the Torre Glòries Observation Deck, engaged in insightful discussions, and shared strategies for enhancing visitor experiences at some of the world’s most iconic towers. Highlights included debates featuring the Empire State Building, SkyTower Bucharest, and the Petronas Twin Towers, as well as expert-led sessions on trends, technology, and sustainability in the industry.
The week also celebrated the unique architectural and cultural significance of towers worldwide, with the Torre Glòries itself hosting a special lighting to welcome the WFGT community. On behalf of the Federation, heartfelt thanks were extended to the Mirador Torre Glòries team for their outstanding hospitality and meticulous organization, as well as to the local and national authorities who supported the event.
This year’s conference reaffirmed the WFGT’s mission: to foster collaboration, innovation, and a global community of #greattowers. With connections strengthened and ideas shared, the Federation looks forward to continuing its work worldwide, and to seeing everyone again at the 2026 Annual Conference in Kuala Lumpur.
