Tianjin TV & Radio Tower is called for short "Tian Ta", which is located at the south-west of Tianjin, surrounded by a lake about 210,000 square metres. "Tian Ta" is famous for a sky-high tower over water. The height of "Tian Ta" is 415 metres. A seven-story flying-saucer shaped project structure is situated between 248 metres and 278 metres of the tower.

The total area of the project structure is 4,500 square metres. Excepting the broadcaster room and power room (260m-378m), there are three stories, covering about 1,300 square metres.

On the first story, Xiankelai restaurant (248 metres) provides Chinese food, banquet services, and Karaoke separate room. It can service 100 people simultaneously.

The Observation hall (253 metres) is on the second story. Visitors can overlook Tianjin city here, and visit a display of world famous high towers and other television and radio towers in China. In the hall, we also provide slot telescope and set up a souvenir counter and a bar for visitors.

The revolving restaurant (257 metres) is built on the third story. Two hundred seats are fixed on a 3.66 metres wide revolving platform. The restaurant can serve visitors various beverage and snacks.

Tian Ta can provide 9 channel FM stereo programs and 7 channel TV programs, covering the area of over 100 kilometers around. Tian Ta also provides services for city's meteorology, environmental protection, transportation, fire protection and communication.Tian Ta has now become a symbolic building of Tianjin city. It's evaluated as one of the Ten Majestic Places of interest in Tianjin.
