Liaoning TV Tower, 305.5 meters high, is located in Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning Province. The reinforced concrete structure is a multifunctional modern tower combined with broadcasting, tourism, dining and entertainment.
Designed by the Designing Institute, the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television of China, invested by Liaoning Radio & TV Bureau, constructed by the China Architecture Group, the tower started construction in August 1984 and was put into use in September 1989. The tower was regarded as the first structure of its kind in Asia. In 1995, Liaoning Tower was awarded by the provincial government one of the “Top Ten" architectures.
